Many Barramundi fisherman seem to be of the opinion, that during winter it is a waste of time and effort even getting the fishing gear out of the shed.
I have to admit that I also was falsely led to believe this urban myth as well. That was until I read an article written by Jason Wilhelm of Barra Madness.
In the article Jason detailed how he caught over 100 meter plus barramundi, during the winter months in Lake Awoonga near Gladstone.
To find out exactly how Jason manages to bag so many great fish during winter click on this link.
Also if you would like to find out more about Jason and his guided barramundi fishing charters to Lake Awoonga this is his web site address.
Cheers to your next meter plus Barra
